In the Clausura 2017, Pumas had signed the Chilean forward Nicolas Castillo in order to give more ability in the offensive part of the team. He scored 8 goals in the first 2 months of the season before he was injured and was out for the rest of the season. Pumas was having a great streak of games the first half of the season.
